I agree. There are times when surprises happen, but they are extremely rarely ever centred around the case of the week. I actually think we are meant to be in on it most of the time. It's like Columbo and Murder She Wrote vs something like Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot. If you get my meaning. I feel exactly the same way about the show as you do. But I'm looking forward to those rare moments when they will throw a proper zippy curve ball at you. I'll wait on either the sound of the catchers mitt or and echoing crack of the bat.
