It's nice to be able to rewatch this in a lighthearted manner, i can actually laugh at how ridiculous this reveal was... because watching this live was soooo aggravating and most people went crazy over this reveal. It's great some were happy but this was so disappointing. I honestly think this is one of the worst episodes of pll and a tv show reveal of all time. i think it is one of the worst rated episodes of pll on imdb. The weird sci-fi spaceship with marvel level technology, Cece on the screen like a supervillian, the acting, the reactions to the reveal, the writing... Cece as A was fair enough and I do believe that the writers had planned Cece to be a possible A for a long time. In season 3/4 you could tell that they were writing her to be A but there wasn't a backstory. but Cece being A AND Charlotte/Charles was 100000% not planned. In my opinion, the writer Marlene went for shock value and something barely anyone could guess rather than what made sense. i think they made a big mistake for a mystery show which is to always want to be ahead of viewers despite logic and reason. I think even having Charles as a plot-point was an afterthought and just a way to get people hooked for S6. There's just way too many plotholes. The Wilden thing I can't wrap my head around either. There were so many "plot leaks" as the show was airing on who A and/or Charles were meant to be... I can't say how real they were. Wren was one of the popular suspects and I do believe the writers were strongly considering it because of how Cece and Wren were both weirdly tied to the same storyline in S3/4 around Radley and were acting weird. But the actor Julian Morris was not available to continue the show for the season and I think thats when they went all for Cece as Charles/Charlotte instead. Overall, no-one will ever know what the truth is. But regardless of who it was, this reveal could have been SO much better executed. I don't know how the show went from the Mona reveal which was a great episode to this which felt like a parody or an episode of Riverdale. But I will say despite this awful finale the next part of the season is really different and interesting so I look forward to your reactions to that! i do think the show gets better from here for sure.
