What you were saying about wishing we got to see everyone's future, and all that, it gave me an idea. So that last scene was obviously the parallel for the very first scene of the show, with Frank talking about each of them. They could've done it so that when he mentioned each of them, we got a small flashforward of their futures. Not even them talking in them, just a small snippet of their lives. Maybe Ian and Mickey in their own place and a small child runs through. Lip graduating a new College, or just walking into a College and it shows that he's gonna make something of himself and really make it work this time. Carl in the Alibi that he now owns, maybe he has a girlfriend who's there too. Debbie maybe leaves with her girlfriend, or maybe she realises that's a bad idea and so she and Frannie get a nice place of their own and make it work, maybe she gets a girlfriend who is actually good for her. Kev and V have their place and are happy. Liam lives with Lip and Tami and maybe we see him glance sadly at a picture they have of Frank up for him. It just could've been a cool little way of showing their lives without having to go too much into it. Like, in the first episode when Frank had that speech, we got those cutaways of each character. They could've done the same here, just for their futures.

Chelsea I.

The song they started singing, was the same song that played at the end of the pilot ep. And you are right about the car being on fire in the pilot ep. I wish that they would have done some kind of time jump, so that we could have seen where they all ended up. I love when shows do that for the end of a series. Or like DzzleFae said that when Frank was talking about his kids. They should have showed a small flashfoward. They did have Fiona call Debbie when Fred was born. But yeah they should have had her call one of them when Ian got married, and to have her call and check on them.
