I say this affectionately... But FUCK YOU MATTHEW!! You can always count on him to direct the creepiest fucking episodes of this show! I can literally always tell if an episode is one he directed just from the opening, because it will be so dark and creepy... They're great episodes! But they're so dark!

So, I'll always have a certain amount of sympathy for the Unsubs with delusions and that sorta thing, and those who suffered severe abuse. But that sympathy kinda stops the moment they actually hurt someone. If that makes sense? I feel bad for what they're personally going through, but that doesn't EXCUSE them hurting people. It's really complicated. It's such a horrible thing to think about. Because like, I don't wanna have this sympathy for people who hurt people like this, what he put those poor women through was HORRIBLE. And it almost feels disrespectful to the victims to feel bad for the person who killed them. But like, he WAS actually sick and needed help. It's horrible. The term is Folie a Deux. It's SO interesting and I plan to really learn more about it eventually. The idea of two people sharing a delusion is INSANE. And to know that it actually happens is just WOW! Yeah, I remember that woman you're talking about who went off her meds when pregnant. What's really interesting to me is that in that same episode we learn that Reid's Mum also went off her meds when she was pregnant with him. It's really good that they have a character like her, who is Schizophrenic and has been off her meds and clearly isn't well, but isn't a murderer. Like, it's a show about Serial Killers, a lot of them have these Mental Illnesses and so I really think it's so important to have a recurring character who has Schizophrenia but isn't like them. It just kinda helps to show that not everyone who has Mental Health issues like that are Serial Killers. Some people manage it and get it under control, others don't necessarily get it under control but they also don't become murderers. It's all about circumstances and stuff. She wasn't even in the episode but you mentioned that episode with the woman who went off her meds and it just made me think of that... Haha
