2023-01-31 08:27:00 I love how Clint is literally just so fed up with everything. He just wants to retire. Honestly, for me, this show had the biggest stakes out of all of them. Like, I don't care about the bigger picture, I care about Clint Barton getting home to his family for Christmas. Your conversation about Clint and Natasha and Vormir at the start. As sad as it is, I will always believe it HAD to be Natasha to die. And not because Clint has kids, because I hate the whole thing of "This person's life means more because they have kids." and all that. I believe it had to go the way it did because of THEM and their mindsets at the time. Either way it would've technically been both a sacrifice and a suicide, whoever died. But with Natasha it felt more like a sacrifice, with Clint it would've felt more like suicide. He WANTED to die. Yes, he was fighting to save Natasha and his family, but he was also fighting to die. Natasha was fighting to save Clint, their families and to sacrifice herself. Their story came full circle with her bringing him back from the darkness and giving him a chance to make up for what he did as Ronin. That's my thoughts on it anyway... I love Grills. He's also a Comic Character. Changed, of course. But still. And yeah, I love that Clint went along with it and just let him kill him. Does make me sad that Grills said that was the closest he'd be to being a Superhero when he's literally a Firefighter though... :( And also, I love the fact that while Clint is clearly confused by the whole LARPing thing, and doesn't understand it at all, he was respectful of it. Something I ABSOLUTELY LOVE though! That Laura knows everything. She knows about Ronin, she knows what Clint's doing, and she's just so supportive. She understands why he's not yet home. She understands that he needs to fix this. And he was honest about how he spent the Blip. They are honestly the healthiest relationship in the MCU. There's no anger at him for doing what he has to, there's no lying, there's just total honesty and support and I love it. Plus, he talks through his strategy with her. It's just such a relief. I love them so much! <333 The dynamic between Clint and Kate is just amazing too. They're both so different and yet so alike and it's just great. Plus, Clint just naturally adopts everyone he meets. He's a total Dad and I love it. Also, the moment when the Tracksuits throw the Molotov Cocktail and Clint literally smashes the window, catches it, and then throws it back, it's one of my favourite moments. It's so badass! This is why this show was needed so badly, and why he should've got a solo movie back in like Phase One, along with Natasha. He's a total badass, but he was always put next to Gods and Supersoldiers and all that. You're totally right that that's what makes him so amazing, that he's only human and yet he fights Gods and Aliens and all that, and also the fact that he literally just does it because it's right. He doesn't want recognition; he just wants to help make the world a better place...

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying the show. I'm pretty much on the same page as DazzleFae regarding this show, so I don't have alot to add. I will say that they really put the pedal to the metal in the next episode and I can't wait to see that reaction. The Tracksuit Mafia is ripped straight from the comics and is, believe it or not, one of the most faithful adaptations Marvel has ever done. As silly as they may seem, I think they are perfect foils for Clint and Kate. My favorite line in this episode came from Clint when the TM covered his head and he said "Guys, I can see through the bag". That line makes me laugh every time.

I agree, it's such a breath of fresh air to have a marriage that is just healthy communication, no drama about "you're never home" etc. They are both on the same page, Laura knows what he's up to, she helps him through it and she knows he will always try his best to return home as fast and safe as possible!

That line is hilarious! Poor Clint is so fed up. 🤣😭
