I cannot emphasize this enough----you NEED to watch The Defenders next before starting season 3 of Daredevil. Defenders is essentially Daredevil season 2.5 , the second half of this season was a setup for Defenders. You won't get answers if you skip it. It's only 6 episodes, so it's not a huge commitment. Bonus, you get to see Jessica and Luke again. It's not necessary to watch Iron Fist or Luke Cage to watch Defenders. While Iron Fist is connected to The Hand, they give enough exposition in The Defenders for you to understand his character and place in the story. The Iron Fist show itself is not worth your time. Daredevil season 3 starts right where The Defenders ends, so that's also a factor. Personally, I enjoyed the Defenders but I know some feel differently. If it wasn't so heavily tied into Daredevil, I'd be less adamant about watching it but this is a case of "must watch".

Ultimately this season was probably my least favourite of the three. It felt kinda messy with the the Hand storyline. But the character developments were still top notch. Compared to the season 1 finale the trio is no more.
