3.14 - A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE 

Like ok, I know Davina was a Harvest girl but didn't she lose those extra powers when she died? And being a NOLA witch she should be channeling the ancestors who want nothing to do with her. I know she is channeling the Styx coven now, but if that coven is so powerful why do they even need Davina? Cause she's the only one who can figure out Esther's spell?

Davina did lose the Harvest girl power. They actually said it back in season 2 when she fought Klaus to get Kol back. I think she was still able to channel the ancestors even though we know they hate her. I think the Stryx need her because of Esthers spell and possibly because she might be able channel the ancestors and the Stryx coven at the same time giving them the power needed. I always felt like they just didnt want to kill off her off, so they just threw her in storylines to keep her on screen.
