The show definitely has some 'splainin' to do. Probably the most brain scrambling finales to any show ever. 66 episodes heavily featuring someone who never existed. Sure, why not?

Damn, it's been a minute since i've rewatched this finale but it really is just as good as i remembered, love the pacing of this episode (even though i still wish we would have gotten a double episode), and that final scene is so so good.......... and then there's the Peter twist, man i wish i could have been watching the show live as it was airing because i'm sure people went nuts at the time with that Observers scene. I had the same reaction at the end XD, and to think that there was a possibility that this could have been the series finale because the show, from what i've heard, from season 2 onward was always on the edge of cancellation but if i have to be honest i wouldn't have minded it as a final episode but what we get next is just as good imo. Walternate was brutal in this episode and Olivia's death scene is really shocking, i love the funeral scene and i did like the choice of silence because like you said when someone like Olivia dies there really isn't much to say but if you are interested, in the dvd the did put the scene with Peter's speech audible and imo it's just as good ,i'll link it if i find it. Can't wait for season 4, i won't spoil anything about it but i will just say be a little patience with it in the beginning because the first few episode, whilst still good, they do serve as a setup for this new chapter of the show so it could come off as a little slow for some people. P.S. I found the link to the speech, even though i could only find in low quality and sub ESP i still think it's worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e00yUbovMB0&ab_channel=FringeLatino

One of the best season finale of all time! This is the reason Fringe is one of the mind-twisting series ever! It is true you have to be patient with the nextfew episodes! They answer the question of how and what people and things change with the absense of one person and/or event! Great Reaction!

Just when you think you got it all figured out...and then......

Oh, and regarding Olivia being inserted into Peter's story: it's always been about the two of them. The outcome of Peter stepping into the machine would be determined by which Olivia he was with, as Sam said a few episodes ago now. But right from the start it's been about the two of them, and Walter. Walter caused the disaster and Peter and Olivia come together to fix the problem. That's practically a stock synopsis for any episode you wanna pick ;) As for Olivia not having time to practice her telekinetic power, well the only time she "used it" before she had not practiced. She didn't even believe she could do it and then she found herself standing in front of a bomb that would go off if she failed. Even afterwards she didn't really believe she had done it herself and suspected it might have been a trick by Jones for some unfathomable reason. If she really did it the first time it should be easier to do it again. I understand your concern, though. Avoiding spoilers I can say it wasn't a last minute insertion of Olivia into the storyline of Peter's heroic rescue of the Universes. You'll have to be patient a little while longer and you'll get some treats. I just realised that's how I talk to my cat. I shouldn't be allowed to type at 8am after being up all night. PS... I love The Doors, too. I forgot that song was in there. It's always a treat. PPS... I love Astrid, too, too. I need an Astrid. I have a carer but I don't think she'd milk a cow for me. PPPS... The mirror was always part of the apparatus of the quantum entangled typewriter device, from the very first time we saw it.
