I love the ability of this show to have multiple main plots + they juggle the plots so well it never feels out of place. Love the show, love the reaction and i'm glad you're well and welcome back to doing reactions :)

Yes, putting characters and Reese into seemingly inescapable corners to increase tension - these writers are very adept at keeping us on the edge of our seats, then slamming us with something we were expecting before, but they got us to drop our guard - example with Elias being behind it.... Recap - Elias doesn't just have a cop on the force, he owns or pays HR - which is a whole band of corrupt cops and officials - which Reese just tasked Fusco with re-infiltrating.... (so HR let Elias' man impersonate an officer to take care of the SEC guy)

I haven’t seen even half of your reactions yet but in all the reactions I have seen I have never seen you shocked so often lol. Most American TV I’ve seen seems scared to surprise the audience. They have their twists and turns but put up huge signposts to make sure we get the twists before the protagonists do because they’re afraid we will switch off if they leave us feeling too dumb. This show trusts its audience to have a little intelligence and it really pays off. I know there are other shows that trust us but they are a tiny minority. One thing I love about watching reactions is that the viewers who recommend your shows usually have good sense and I can trust most of the recommendations to be intelligently written shows worth watching. It saves me a lot of time which would be otherwise spent dredging through trash looking for the rare gems.

I should add that I’m not American myself. The American shows I’ve seen in the past have mostly been mass appeal things. If they had a huge audience in America they will be shown in England, too. So it’s mainly the generic shows aimed at the widest possible audience and therefore homogenised, bland, lowest common denominator type trash TV. America makes some great shows but it makes an awful lot more total poop lol.
