I’m so relieved they showed some of Bonnie’s trauma from being in the prison world. I would’ve been so pissed if they completely bypassed it and she was presenting as completely healed. I love seeing Bonnie stand up for herself. Her confidence is everything. Kat Graham’s acting was great! And sighhh. I love Stefan too but this is an example of when I get tired of him. Like Elena said, it’s more about the pain Caroline was feeling. I feel like the situation with Stefan was more like the icing ontop of the cake rather than the deciding factor. It would’ve been nice if he expressed his feelings for Caroline to know she has that support. But romantic love won’t heal her grief like come on. Plus I hate the whole pushing Caroline thing. He is very much projecting his own experience onto everyone. It reminds me of when he would tell newbie vampires to go on the bunny diet ahahah. Caroline was doing fine and she actually chose to do this. She’s a grown adult and this is all on her. I get she could snap and hurt someone. But him trying to bring her back, led to her hurting someone anyway. Like if you were going to try bring her back then put her in a cage not leave her to her own devices? Idk I don’t get the plan there. Okay I’ve ranted for too long now lol.

Agree with everything you said! I *love* seeing Bonnie stand up for herself and getting an actual character arc for a change that isn't just related to magic. Kat Graham killed it. As did Candice. Her acting as Caroline was fantastic this season, and this episode and the one before truly show how great she is!

Totally agree with you on Stefan in this episode. I love him, but that was some Grade A projecting, hero complex narcissism that was going on there. The Salvatores were not on their best behavior this episode..... :D I honestly wish they'd just left Caroline alone. No-humanity Caroline was such a fresh take on the same old no humanity storyline, where it's always "har har, now I'm evil and out of control". Caroline without her humanity was super interesting, and I honestly hate that they threw Stefan in the mix. The end of the episode definitely made me think they sacrificed a really good potential Caroline solo-plot just to have some sort of TVD Bonnie and Clyde, and I'm not a big fan. We saw Stefan without his humanity already and at this point, I'm bored of it :D Love your love for Bonnie. I remember back in the day, people were OUTRAGED that Bonnie would threaten Kai or that she would hurt Damon, and it's so nice to see how far we've come that most reactors are 100% on Bonnie's side this episode as she deals with the trauma and the sudden readjustment to a world with people that is loud and physical (and sexual-harrass-y)
