"He was left in a basket on the steps of the FBI." ICONIC! I love this episode. It's so different to most other ones. I really like how it started. How it showed the Unsub with his daughter being a good Dad and showing how much she loves him and showing him as this normal guy who loves his daughter, then it's all just undone. We basically see it from Andrea's POV at the start. She has no idea what's happening, and neither do we. The Actor who played Will was really good though. How there was no emotion with all the girls. Like, the way he spoke when they showed him the pictures. When they said about how they'd all been raped and murdered, and his response was "I have a daughter their age." and he was almost laughing as he said it. Like, not a proper laugh, but there was almost a laugh in there. He so clearly didn't actually care, and he wasn't actually worried because as far as he was concerned his daughter was safe as they had a deal not to harm each others families. But ugh! Seriously! Even if he hadn't done it, the way he was acting in that interrogation room would be so concerning. He showed absolutely no care towards the fact that these girls had been raped and killed, he didn't really seem bothered by his arrest either. Like, idk about anyone else, but if I were arrested for something I didn't do, I'd be crying, and I'd be terrified of what's going on, I'd be horrified by being accused of something so awful. I wouldn't be talking back to the people investigating, I'd be doing whatever I could to let them know I didn't do it, and I'd likely be curled up in the corner of the room or something... I wouldn't be acting all smug about the fact that it wasn't me or anything like how he was acting. That's something that always gets me with people like him. He wants them to think him innocent, and yet he gives them no reason to believe that. All he does is talk back at them, be a dick to them, act all smug and just overall give no reason to believe he's innocent. Of course, he's a narcissist and all that and so of course he's gonna act like that because he just believes he can get away with it and all that shit, but wow is it stupid! Something else I love about the episode is that we get to see how it affects the Unsub's family. Like, usually we're focused on the victims and their families, which is of course important as they go through a lot. But so do the families of the Unsubs. I can't imagine finding out someone who lives down my street is a murderer or rapist or anything, let alone a family member who I love. And it was really realistic how they portrayed it too. With how they were in denial about it at first, but slowly started noticing things and having doubts. Like the Mum's reaction to him telling her to use the house to bail him out, although it still took her a bit longer to actually believe what her instincts were telling her. And Andrea, how she really didn't wanna believe it, but she had this voice in her telling her it was true, but even to the end there was part of her that didn't believe it. When she saw her Dad come to save her, she truly believed he was innocent and just there to save her at first, but then she realised that wasn't the case and it was just heart breaking. Also, her following the partner. It was pretty stupid, yes. But in a way it makes sense I think. She was told that he'd check in on them, show concern, because he cared about her Dad and they were the closes he had to him now that he had been arrested. So part of her probably thought she'd be safe following him and that he wouldn't do anything to hurt her. (Not the smartest decision still, but she is still a teenager with a lot going on... Haha) Also, those girls teasing Andrea about her Dad. Ugh. Horrible! Like "Oh, haha! Her Dad is a rapist. Oh, he probably raped her too. How funny!" That is basically what that girl said to her. Yeah, the thought of a girl being raped by her father is hilarious. Wtf is wrong with people?! I love Morgan interrogating though. He's so good at winding people up and it's great! Also, yes. Garcia always looks beautiful, but you're right she really did look great this episode! What do you watch it on? It looks like it's on a dodgy site, so I'm just wondering. Cuz in England it's free on Amazon Prime and Disney+ but idk if that's the case where you are...
