About Esther and her placement in the ranking of powerful witches, I think people misinterpreted her 'title' of "The Original Witch"... She is called The Original Witch because she is the witch OF the Original family, the witch that created The Original Vampires; not because she was the very first witch or even because she was the absolute most powerful witch in all of history... She is certainly a top contender for that spot but I mean we already know about Qetsiyah in TVD, she not only created an entire supernatural purgatory but she is also the original creator (together with Silas) of the Immortality Spell, same spell that is the basis for Esther's immortality spell that created vampires... Even Silas himself is a contender for most powerful witch in history; and there are others
