Ooo Lucas is EdGY now😂 Ezra is right now reminding me of Wren. Their professions are a huge chunk of their characters. Whereas Toby and Caleb who are treated as secondary love interests compared to Ezra have so much more going for them. Toby was an outcast who is growing into himself, Caleb is confrontational and direct about things that bother him. They’re more human. While Ezra and Wren are like fantasies. It’s also telling that Ezra and Wren are older men who have had inappropriate relationships: Aria and Spencer. Perhaps more layers in the writing would have ruined the allure of teachers and doctors for the audience who were young at the time.
