That scene with Ian and Mickey breaks my heart every time... I mean, it's Mickey finally truly realising that Ian needs help, that this isn't something that's just gonna go away, and it's also not harmless. I mean, before this, it was basically just collecting suitcases and going to a Funeral wearing a Uniform he shouldn't actually be wearing and making a scene. While there were slight risks there, it wasn't a huge deal ya know? Well it was, but Mickey couldn't see that and he didn't see everything that Ian was getting up to. But now he's realised that he truly isn't okay. Because not only did he have sex with some random guy, and not only did he make a sex tape, he also wasn't safe about it. He's really seeing that Ian is taking risks and doing things he never would've done before. And you can see how hard it is for him to say this to Ian, but he knows in that moment that Lip and Fiona were right and that he needs help and he needs to go to a Hospital. And Ian. What hurts the most is that he truly doesn't understand why Mickey is upset. He said they were running low on money, and that they needed to think something up, and Ian got the chance to make some money. That's literally all it was to him. A way to make money. He doesn't get that having sex with that guy hurt Mickey, he doesn't even truly understand that he cheated on him, because to him it was just a way to get money. He doesn't get that Mickey is also worried about the fact that they didn't use a condom and Ian just went on the guys word. He's truly confused as to what the big deal is with Mickey here. Agh, and the second Ian goes into the bathroom and Mickey goes and sits on his bed facing away from the door. You just know something is gonna happen. But you expect him to just run, or even hurt himself. You do not expect him to take the baby with him. And it is this absolutely horrifying realisation when you see the baby isn't there. Because while we KNOW that Ian loves Yevgeny and would never purposefully hurt him in any way, we also know he's not well and could accidentally hurt him. Like, it would literally be so easy for him to hurt Yevgeny without realising right now, because he is not in a good place. If Mickey needed any more proof that Ian isn't well, this did it. This made him realise that this isn't some harmless illness that sometimes makes him a little more energetic and irritable than usual, and sometimes makes him depressed and bed-ridden for days/weeks. It's something that can cause him to hurt himself and others, and he needs some way to manage it so that doesn't happen. Him yelling for Yevgeny too when he ran outside though, that really shows his development. He's barely shown interest in the baby. In S4 he outright avoided him, and then in S5 we saw him kinda help but it was reluctantly most of the time and he often made excuses not to and Svetlana herself said to Kev that Mickey didn't help much, but right here we see him run out of the house in a complete panic because Ian has taken him while in a really bad place. Also... Uh, what is it with the red heads in the Gallagher Family and stealing babies?! Haha

You thought this episode was hard? this is nothing compared to what’s about to come (I don’t wanna scare you but I know that you know it is gonna get messier) Btw, will you consider reacting to Squid Game in the future?
