the way this show made me believe a relationship with a teacher is something that is acceptable oh my god. I was 12 years old when I watched the show and I thought this was okay. Now that I'm older and rewatching it, their relationship is making me so uncomfortable. I truly can't believe the creators of this show are acting as if they are the best couple of the show when they are just really not. Anyways -- loved your reaction, as always!!

Hahaha the thumbnail. Ezra and Aria were way more unbearable than usual my days. This is definitely one of those shows where I wish I was a fly in the writers room. Were they self aware or not?

Yeah I also remember watching as a child and thinking they were cute. It would have been better if the writers changed their storyline just a bit to show how manipulative Ezra can be. How the predator can be charming at first but at the end of the day, he's gross and should be locked up. They should have taught younger people that a relationship like this is more than just getting in trouble with your parents, especially with their age gap, its really significant but they gloss over it. Instead they went with this whole "it's wrong but its right" trope and "he's not her teacher anymore so its ok". And then they tried to compare it to Aria's dad having a student-teacher relationship as if its the same thing. Yes her dad had an innapropriate relationship with a student but that was between two consenting ADULTS, just a whole different situation. Now if Byron's student was just coming out of high school, yes its legal but I would probably be looking at him like he's a predator too. There's just so much more they could be doing with Aria's character but nah they want her world to revolve around a man who has groomed her. Pretty sad, but apart from that storyline I do remember shit getting more intense at some point so don't give up LMAO
