If you were asking what I think about the Charlie situation. why they didn't check the body in the last episode, it would have had the 3 holes in the palate, but if the corpse had been the shape shifter, it would still have those holes since it has to put the device in it's mouth as well as the victim. Afaik they know almost nothing about the shifter other than how it operates at the time.
