Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards- Thank you! I absolutely enjoy this episode a lot. I especially love that Charlotte Richards is brought back into the show once more as herself, and not as Lucifer's and Amenadiel's mother. And what an amazing way of doing so, by having her struggle so deeply with the time she's lost upon her body becoming possessed by the Goddess of all Creation, while her soul had become trapped in Hell after she was killed, as was shown back in season two's episode... Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire. Welcome back, Charlotte Richards, indeed. :) First... my absolute favorite moment is in the very end, when Lucifer shares with Charlotte how much the woman Charlotte was during her lost time really meant to him, without sharing with her that the woman was his mother and revealing the truth about him really being the Devil and that she had been possessed by his mother, knowing she couldn't possibly understand that more so... because he wanted to protect her from hurting her anymore than she is already hurting thanks to her time in Hell and because of her guilty conscience. It's a really beautiful moment that shows just how much his mother really means to him, in spite of all the pain she put him through. It also shows how forgiving Lucifer really is. And I love seeing how much Lucifer really wants to help heal Charlotte too. Because like he says, Charlotte is now an innocent who is suffering because of his mother's time in her body, and he truly does want to help her heal and to avoid going back to Hell if he can. I really love this. It's really quite a beautiful moment between these two. :) Another favorite scene... I also absolutely love the earlier scene between Lucifer and Charlotte inside his penthouse as well, just after Charlotte attempts to make out with Lucifer, until they eventually get into a deep conversation about how she feels so lost, scared, and guilty for her past sins and longs to find redemption to avoid going back to Hell. And I love how understanding Lucifer is while he listens, as we see sadness in his eyes showing us how sorry he is for what's come of her, and that he blames himself for her troubles. What a beautifully acted scene. Another of my favorite moments is when Lucifer saves Charlotte from making the mistake of hurting the three real criminals involved in Chloe's and Lucifer's pudding case. They may not have murdered the victim who committed suicide in order to bring the problem to the police's attention, but they are involved in slowly poisoning everyone who eats the pudding, including Dan. I love that Lucifer helps her to understand that hurting them won't help her to clear the red in her ledger, and how he asks her to trust in him to help her to avoid going back to Hell. Quite a powerful moment! :) I also love how Lucifer then reveals that he had been lurking in the shadows while waiting for the right moment to enter, while the criminals confess to the crimes that Chloe and Dan could actually nail them all for so they could arrest them. That Lucifer had been wearing a wire on him so he could do this to help her, while Chloe and Dan are listening in on them. Brilliant! Now... like I've said in my comments throughout other episodes, I've never liked the idea of Dan and Charlotte being together while Charlotte was being possessed by Lucifer's mother. It was a twisted relationship. But now that there's a possibility of Dan and the real Charlotte coming together in a new relationship, I do actually really love the idea of Dan being together with her, and seeing them starting off slow while they both begin getting to know their true selves. Plus... I really like the chemistry between Dan and Charlotte too. As well as both the actors... Kevin Alejandro and Tricia Helfer. As for the brief storyline of Lucifer teaching Trixie the loopholes on how to swear without actually swearing... I hate swearing, and I myself never swear because like Chloe says to Trixie, these words can hurt people. But I have to admit that the beginning scene between Lucifer, Chloe, and Trixie is hilarious. I just love how awkward things are between Lucifer and Chloe in this moment, and I love how adorable Trixie is too. I also really love that this leads to Chloe talking with Trixie in the end about how swearing can hurt people, which Trixie certainly doesn't mean to do. As for Lucifer seeking a distraction in order to refrain from thinking about his father's manipulations... as always, he's just hilarious. Him seeking distractions with other women is a very Lucifer thing to do. And while the scene with him starring at the half naked women in the pudding commercial is a little cringey, it's also pretty funny, and I love how uncomfortable it makes Chloe too. And lastly... the moment Charlotte kisses Lucifer upon breaking into his penthouse is very cringey, but Lucifer's reaction to the woman who was at one time his mother because she had been possessed by his mother, is funny. Tom Ellis is really good at acting so uncomfortable. Very funny. Overall... this is a great episode and I really enjoy it. So, thank you very much again for another fun reaction for a fantastic episode of Lucifer, Nostalgic Girl! I really appreciate it like always. Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi
