This episode is so painful for so many reasons! Poor Spencer though, with literally everything! His Dad leaving was horrible! The fact that he was leaving because his wife was unable to care for herself, but leaving his son with her. He had to grow up way too fast. There were 8 YEARS between his Dad leaving and Spencer being able to get his Mother professional help. During that time, he would’ve had to take care of her basically by himself. His and Tobias’ childhoods mirror each other in a way. Both had a parent abandon them with their unstable parent at a young age. Of course, their parent they were left with were drastically different, but it’s really similar in a way... really sad... Morgan’s reaction to watching the videos were great. His absolute anger at what was happening to Reid. And everyone else too, they were scared and worried and it hurt them all so much to watch! I love how Reid was beaten, drugged, LITERALLY DIED, and yet he saved himself... 😂 That little genius! Hotch immediately getting Reid’s message was amazing! I wanna see their argument about classic narcissism now though! 😂 This episode makes you understand why Reid kinda latches onto Hotch and Gideon though. He has Daddy Issues and they fill that void... THEY ARE HIS DADS! 😂 William Reid can go to Hell, Spencer’s real Dads are Hotch and Gideon... I said what I said... 🤷‍♀️ I love what Garcia said to JJ about how if you let things stop effecting you then you lose parts of yourself. So true! Reid hugging Hotch when they find him! So cute! I love them so much! 🥺 Then him and JJ hugging and him telling her it’s not her fault. I adore that whole scene of them finding him. Then of course he goes and takes the dilaudid from tobias’ pocket and that just breaks my heart. Tobias didn’t mean to hurt him, he was just trying to help in the only way he knew how. The dilaudid helped him deal with his fathers abuse, so he thought it’d help Reid too. Unfortunately that caused some issues... Hotchs “I have no sense of humour.” Was amazing! Way to lighten things a little... 😂 And Reid’s “I was given CPR...” 😂😭 it always makes me chuckle. And the NA guy saying “good for him” when told that Tobias killed his father. I LOVE THAT! 😂😭 As always great reaction and I’m excited for the next! Sunday has become my favourite day, as you post CM reactions. I’m always counting down the days now... 😂

Yeah this whole episode was multiple punches to the gut. I hate watching Reid suffer, and I felt so bad for Tobias because it was not really his fault. I loved all the moments with the team and just seeing how much they love Reid. HIS DADS YES!! Poor Spencer having to make that choice because his dad is a coward and a bastard. They do have things in common. It's interesting how Spencer seems to relate in such a personal level with unsubs.

Oh, you hate seeing Reid suffer... Oh, I'm so sorry... Hahaha (Me too though... It's heart breaking and MGG does an amazing job!) Tobias deserved so much better. And that moment where after Reid shot him, he came back into that personality was so sad! Reid shot a bad guy, but had to watch as that shot also killed a good guy... The Team all adore him. Being the youngest makes them all very protective too... He tends to latch onto paternal figures pretty quickly, which is obviously because he lost his at such a young age and because of that had to grow up fast. His Dad just sucks. Like his Mum said, he should've taken him with him when he left, even just for a little while so Diana could get herself together and be able to actually take care of him. But he couldn't because he's a jackass. It seemed that he didn't really connect with him much though anyway. When Spencer started spouting statistics, his reaction was one of annoyance. It makes me sad... :( Yeah. He does tend to relate to the Unsubs pretty well. Love how most of the characters relate more to the victims (occasionally relating to Unsubs too, but not as often) while Spencer often relates to the Unsubs... It does make me feel awful for him though. Imagine really being able to relate to serial killers and all that... Must be horrible! :(

You're right. The split in personalities would have been way earlier in his childhood. i would have been during the time of extreme physical abuse and would have gotten even worse when he started to take psychedelics. The stresser of having to kill his father would have been what set him on the missions but not what caused the split. Ed Gain for example heard his mothers voice years after she was dead. I think it would be like that for Tobias.
