Yeah the actor that played John wanted to move on. He mentioned in an interview that he didn’t have much to do with the role and at the end of the day it was Cillian Murphy’s show. With Polly and how women are written on this show have a lot of opinions. My views have changed after rewatching. The show is very male-centric and the main characters are very in your face traditionally masculine and these are the people who you’re meant to root for. It kinda makes it feel weird and jarring to see other characters point of views that contradict them. At least in my opinion. And I think Polly was talking more about how Tommy has changed. She was okay with everything in the previous seasons because Tommy wasn’t who he became at the end of Season 3. It’s different because this time Tommy betrayed the entire family and they almost died for some random deal. It’s like as Tommy gets more successful the family just falls further apart. This is just one of the consequences of that decision and her trauma relating to it like you said. When you sit and think about her being betrayed, going to prison and everything she’s definitely justified but it just comes off so whiny and jarring on screen. I find it kinda funny also how she’s the only woman out of the rest of the men that were nearly hanged that is holding a grudge LMAO. And yes! I love Ada these past few episodes her development from season 1 is nice to see.

Yeah I get what you mean. I don't blame Polly for being angry and hurt and traumatized because it was very traumatic. I think the writers are using her to point out to us that Tommy is different and often times feels like too much. Like, yes, I get it. The thing that frustrates me is that the situation is dire and hard decisions need to be made. Tommy is in the position to make them. He is a soldier who knows how to strategize. And Polly is smart enough to understand this and deep down she knows that doing this during John's funeral to take the advantage and go on the attack was a good thing to do. It was either that or wait to be slaughtered. I think it is the way that it is written and the timing that makes it sound more irrational than it actually is. Because I do understand her and I don't blame her for being resentful. I know right? Are they trying to say that women are more emotional and hold more grudges than men?? LOL
