Think about the physics of that punch. How much force would it take to send an adult human being flying through the air like that? It must have shattered her ribs and caused massive internal injury.

Great reaction! There's a real conundrum with Killgrave. Jessica needs him alive to prove Hope's innocence but even if she captures him, proving his abilities are real is extremely dangerous. The cop could testify, as could the 2 families that we've seen Killgrave control, and the restaurant owner we saw in the first episode, but without Killgrave in custody and physical evidence of his ability it's going to be pretty hard to convince the DA to drop the charges against Hope. This story is super intriguing and well written. This isn't the kind of problem you can punch your way out of , which is refreshing for a show about superpowered people.
