To answer some of your questions: The actress is Jane Lynch and they mentioned that she was a professor of 15th century literature. I won't comment on whether or not that matters or if she will continue to be here, but this was before Glee so while yes, she was an established actress, she's definitely gotten increased platform since then. Same thing about timing with Garcia and the hacking. You aren't wrong, she should have known better. I could argue the general public wouldn't have known as much about hacking at that time, but as an FBI IT person, I definitely think that was a fault on her part. The thing that gets me about the book thing is that Google existed in 2005/2006.

I love this episode! And the next! The fact that Elle's windows were wide open was a bad sign immediately. She wouldn't have left them open while on holiday in Jamaica, and she hadn't been back home since getting back. When I first watched it I was screaming at her to notice the windows. Yeah. I feel for Garcia too. Like, yeah, she should've known better, but at the same time she wasn't expecting an Unsub to be after personal information about the Team. She just wanted to escape a little. I mean, although she's not in the field with the others, she sees some pretty bad stuff and she's not as numb to it as they are, so she needs ways to escape. In a way, it's kinda like what Gideon's going through. His Cabin was his escape, the internet and her laptop was hers. Hers was just ruined in a different way. I also agree about liking that they didn't shy away from having her mess up so badly. Like, of course it's heartbreaking and I just wanna give her a hug even though I hate hugs, but like you said, it makes them seem more human and real when they screw up. Whether it's like this or saying the wrong thing to the Unsub and failing to save a victim, or even smaller things, it just makes it seem that much more realistic. Finding out Reid's Mum is Schizophrenic honestly explains quite a bit about him. Just how he reacts to certain things. I mean, on the episode Derailed with the hostages on the train, he said about his personal experience with paranoia based illnesses and knew exactly how to get through to someone going through it. Growing up with someone with Schizophrenia would make him have to learn how to get through the delusions and stuff. It also makes those concerns you voiced at the end of that episode about him maybe going crazy or whatever so much more real... Haha But him being unable to actually visit is so sad. It's understandable, of course it'd be hard. But it's so sad and makes me feel for both of them. I mean, she must miss him and it must hurt her that he doesn't visit. And he must miss her as well, and the situation is just really difficult for him. :( You will learn more in terms of his relationship with his Mother and all that. I feel awful for Gideon. Getting a head sent to you is just horrible. And the fact that it tainted his only escape is just so unfair. And Hotch. That must be terrifying, knowing the Unsub knows where he lives and could've gotten to his wife and son. And poor Haley too. This job is clearly so hard on her, and she's not even in the FBI. Having to watch her husband go off all the time and risk his life, him being away often, knowing that one day he might not come back and she'll get a call from someone on the Team saying that he was killed. Must be so difficult. <3 The times it gets personal are always great on this show. It really helps to get to know the characters even better. :) Elle's line of "Reid, never go away again." or something like that is one of my favourites. I love it, because it just acknowledges how much the team values him. It always makes me smile when team members are praised, or asked to do a certain task because they know they'd be best at it, it just makes me smile because it probably makes them feel special and needed and it's sweet. :) So excited for this week! I always look forward to your CM Reactions. <3

This episode was so good and so sad at the same time. I was not expecting for Elle to get shot but youre right about the window - I didn't notice that. Everyone's safe space was completely destroyed this episode. I would be so scared if I were Hotch to know that it would be that easy to get my address and phone number. I guess its not THAT easy, but possible. What would they do without Reid, honestly???

Oh thanks for reminding me. I love her and she is perfect for the role! She and Reid really look like mother and son. Yeah Garcia should have known better, I feel so bad for her cause its such a reckless thing to do and all she wanted was to escape the horrors she sees every day. Idk why Google wasnt their first thought tbh. I would have googled everything LOL
