I come from the future. Two years it looks like, from 2022 watching a reaction 2 years in the past 😊 I just finished watching the pilot reaction. Wow what a great show! I'd forgotten. Of course I've seen the series, more than once, but it's been a long time. This pilot is even more fantastic if you're familiar with the movie ALTERED STATES (1980) by Ken Russel, starring William Hurt who's a scientist disconnected from his emotions(?), stunted(?) Anyway the "isolation tank" Dunham was placed in is exactly like the one in Altered States - you know Astrid who was putting salt in the tank "this will help you float" she says, in reality you need 500 lbs of salt, so that was a bit of an understatement yet a wonderful detail at the same time. Okay the yellowish lighting inside the tank and the shot composition was exactly like it was in Altered States and those familiar with Russell's nutty movie like I was you know their jaws were dropping at this awesomeness being presented in this episode - it was beyond epic moment! LoL yeah 🙂😄 Oh and Nina Sharp, representative of Massive Dynamic she was in Altered States too in a key role, I mean Blair Brown. I feel she was famous in her own right, she had her own television show The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (1987)
