"Oh be a fine girl, kiss me" -- that's the mnemonic to remember stellar spectral types, from most massive to least. Type O and type B are the blue super giants. Type A and type F are the very hot white stars. Type G are yellow dwarves like our Sun, type K are the lower temperature orange dwarves like Tau Ceti, and type M are the very small, dim red dwarves. Here's the weird part. Our galaxy has something like 400 billion stars. But of those stars, fully 75%+ are red dwarves. As tiny as our Sun is compared to blue super giants, it's still among the brightest stars in the galaxy.
