Just a reminder that old Jennifer is still alive in 2043, which is where they splintered the facility to in season 4 episode 1, accidentally of course, but it paid off, allowing them to steal the "spark plug" from the machine to get their machine up and running. They obviously splintered to a time in 2043 before Cole goes on his first splinter in season 4 episode 2, or is that season 1 episode 1, both actually I guess, since they stuck around and watched it while they were infiltrating the 2043 facility. And so, the Jennifer from 2043 is still alive and came for a visit to the Emerson, good timing as well, so they knew it was safe to splinter to 1491 after young Jennifer. It just shows how much old Jennifer knew and had to hold back during most of the first two seasons, at least until she died in 2044 in season 2 episode 11. This show is so cool. Oh, and another cool thing to watch for when you rewatch this someday, maybe with Kim...hmm, but in season 1, Jennifer says climb the steps, ring the bell, when she is climbing some stairs, wouldn't mean a thing to anyone their first time watching. Jennifer really is the best character in this show, just takes a while to realize it. On a second watch through you can really see how much she guided Cole and the others.

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

“Find the thing that doesn’t belong”. Jennifer told Jones that last episode when she was stuck in her head. Hannah was the thing that didn’t belong. That’s how Jones caught on so quick that it wasn’t real. “You’ve all got that ‘I forgot it’s 2043’ look on your faces. Haven’t kicked it yet”. Old Jennifer is there because she hasn’t been killed yet. When they splintered the facility, it took back to before her death. And her and Deacon both having the “timeline change nose bleed” and seeing new memories to do with a knife, shows that we are still changing the current cycle, we just don’t know how yet. “Go home Mr Deacon. Back to where you belong” I love that Jones is telling Deacon that Team Splinter is his home, and he does belong with them. “You’re afraid of being in that box forever” I love that line. Jennifer is such a brave little bean. Last ep with her Naziphobia but doing the mission anyway, and this ep, being the test monkey and going first. From now until the end, it’s pretty much none stop greatness.
