Glad that you found it funny, for one. Secondly, they are sorta playing themselves, yes, well, obviously, ish. In the same regard as is Georgia and Michael's partner, Anna Lundberg are. Georgia is a writer, producer, actor. David and Georgia actually met on Doctor Who. She was in series 4 episode 6, if you remember. Her father is also a previous Doctor from Classic. So that family is all about the Who. The show is a bit of a weird mix, in that most people are playing versions of themselves but a few are playing characters. Case in point, Jo is a character played by Nina Sosanya. There will be a few others on occasion throughout the 3 series. As the show goes on, the meta becomes more fascinatingly orchestrated and the bizzare absurdity on how it references it's own existence within in the show, is a bit of a head swivel at times. I love this quarreling duo and the versions of themselves that they have crafted so hilariously.
