Some episodes of Kings of King are very different from our typical approach to unearthing the symbolism and meaning of Stephen King’s adaptations. This is one of those episodes. The movie is Frank Darabont’s The Green Mile (1999). It has a star-studded cast, a competent director, and a critically-acclaimed photographer. Thomas Newman writes another amazing score. Michael hates this movie. Let’s all listen to him rip it a new one.

Dudes. Life long atheist here. Thanks for articulating why I hated this schlock since I's a jung agnostic. But, with all the great performances I couldn't help but enjoy it every few years... Hand's washed. Also, even as a more recently woken gent, the magic black dude (regardless of the fact that MCD was actually a magical dude) made me laugh out loud everytime.

I love you Swaim, but 'Sam Rockwell is a racist' is the dumbest of hot takes. The man has 111 actor credits on IMDB, and maybe 4 of them he's played racists. He's just a good actor dude.
