I thought the film was slightly misinterpreted by the team. I felt like it was essentially anti-propaganda, so instead of being scared of terrorists / terror, it was more of a way to show how stupid and pointless it all is, and that we should be laughing at these types of people, rather than fear them.

Also, regarding the point about having more poignancy / harder hitting story; I feel that making a relatively silly and light hearted comedy meant more people would engage with the film, allowing for a broader audience to see the film and be exposed to the themes within it.
