A fanart of  "Daicon 4 Opening" , one of my favourite animated Short movie, because with feel love and passion from there creators and the quality is impressive for this time !
For information that was a non-professional short movie directed by young otakus (including Ideaki Anno) for a 1983 convention in Japan. This team would later go on to form the animation studio Gainax (Evangelion, Nadia, Gunbuster, Kill la Kill).
Oh and the song from Electric Light orchestra is lovely too !!!

The illustration is Work in progress : not sur about the background colors, and some details to work.
