"Welcome to the underground sewer system under the city. Don't worry, you'll get used to the smell. This is one of the many neighborhoods of Nightwater, the city underground.
Here, we live however we can. We build our houses with the junk that comes from the city above through the tunnels. Sometimes it's hard to find the next piece for your house, but we can wait. Look! You see that plank? It's my lucky day. I've got myself a new bookshelf!
Anyway, don't get in trouble, we have the best security forces of the world: ourselves. We may not have guards or anything, but here we all watch for each other. And don't go too far into the tunnels, it's easy to get lost."
