should i create a discord? (Patreon)

Hello everybody

I have spent these last two days in the outside world, away from my computer, doing one thing: Queue (queue for the bank, queue for the market, queue for the other bank, queue for the pharmacy, queues and more queues ). While I'm  in those queues I do 2 things: Read (for those interested, right now I'm reading frank herbert's dune) and outline ideas for the patreon and in one of those ideas it occurred to me that this would not be so boring and heavy if I had a discord to speak with all of  you.

But.  For what is done in a discord? Currently I have an account there,  I use  it to talk from time to time with other creators and their fans (of which I am also one) but I must admit that the site is quite chaotic and confusing for me. I mean, I know it's a place to share with your fans, but isn't that Twitter? what else can you do there? any of you already use discord? tell me about your experiences to take this decision.
