When Voldemort goes to kill the Potters, he bring Bellatrixand her husband with him, but instead of the Potters, it's Sirius and Lupin watching Harry. When Sirius dies protecting Harry, and the killing curse rebounds due to the strength of the godfather ritual, Voldemort and Rudolphus are killed, freeing Bellatrix from her marriage/slave contract. After some vertigo and cloudiness, she hears Harry, but thinks it's Sirius' son. Feeling grief and remorse along woth confusion, she grabs Harry and takes him to her grandfather Arcturus. Harry is raised by Arcturus, Melania ( who dies when Harry is 6), and Bellatrix. Eventual Harry/Tracy pairing. How do the Potters deal with a missing Harry, and how does the Manipulative headmaster try to get things sorted

Harry/Katie: Being the youngest and newest on the Quidditch team has the effect of bringing the two close together (they become better friends than they were in cannon). Harry gets a crush on Katie instead of Cho in the 4th year. Romance et al can be at your discretion. Wanted to suggest this because of a lack of good Katie/Harry fics.
