Hey folks,

Here is a quick little preview clip for the first "Patron Series" project that I've been working on over the last 4 weeks. This first project is based around the construction of a cool little hand vise, and will run over 5 episodes of approximately 10 minutes each. I'm about 75% done on the shooting/editing of the videos, and should be able to release the first episode a few weeks after the next clock episode.

Speaking of which, the latest clock video will have a spare parts video to accompany it on the subject of bluing, and I expect that both videos will be ready for release in a little over 2 weeks. I've had a lot of requests for much more detail on the bluing process, so I'm going to use the opportunity whilst making the clock hands to expand on the subject, and share everything I've learned about bluing small steel parts.

Thanks very much for being patient, and most of all thank you for helping me to make these videos.

Cheers,

Chris.

You're the highlight of my YT week, Chris. Thanks for all the awesome content and now's the part I need to bug you about creating more ... ;)

Ha ha! I'm bugging myself to make more - I really wish there were two of me! I have a list of projects as long as my arm, but I'm so short of time. Once I get on top of this first patron Series, I'm hoping to have a small buffer so that I can keep it all a bit more regular, with shorter gaps between releases. Thanks for your support Joel :)

Thanks Chris nothing like a small tease to keep us wanting more. Looking forward to the spare parts videos.

Chris, great job on the video (and project as well). I certainly wish I had the video chops in addition to the shop chops you have! Looking forward to the series for both the bench and camera work! Any chance on a behind the scenes camera rig video? Do you use a dolly for your pan/circle shots or have a slider rig? -Steve

Hey Steve, I still only have the one camera, so a BTS vid will have to wait until a second camera pops up. Definitely on the list though :)

Arturo Gutierrez

Sounds like a plan! :D looking forward to all of it

Harri Haataja

Looks beautiful, as usual. I'm especially looking forward to more DIY tool ideas.

I got excited until I've seen 42 seconds of video length. Fool me once...... :)

Terrific to hear that Harri. I have some interesting devices lined up to be built for future Patron Series videos, you're going to love 'em :)

Considering myself teased...just thinking the other day about a holder for multiple size screws. Been working with 2-56 & 3-48, & 4-40's lately. Thank goodness for trifocals and tweezers...never thought I would say that. Hope you offer plans for it. Looks Great Chris...nice new opening to! Thanks! ~PJ
