So if you missed today's episode of Worthless Whips it's a pretty simple concept, a neighbour of mine was moving and as he was cleaning out his garage and I was out working on my car he asked me if I wanted these 7 boxes full of vintage playboy magazines, ranging from the 70s all the way up to the early 2000s I honestly had no desire to take them at first but really wanted to help him out as I could see that he really didn't want to lug huge amounts of magazines (they weigh a tonne!) to his new apartment. I called c-milk over to take a look at this massive collection and over a few drinks we were wondering what use they could be, could I sell them? Should I throw them away? As we browsed through some of the older ones what caught our eye were the incredibly cool and interesting adverts from back in the day, all the booze, cigarettes, outlandish styles but especially the car adverts! An idea was born and we decided to make a series of videos going through and exploring all these interesting vintage automotive and other adverts and so "The cars in Playboy" series came to life today on our car channel and I hope you will give it a look (don't worry we censored all the lewd bits more or less so it's very PG). It's a fun look at yesteryear so please let me know if you enjoyed it and if you'd like to see more of it as I'd like to put more effort into it if you actually like it.

The Cars in Playboy - 1970

We ended up with a stack of Playboys so big, I estimate that they weigh about 400 lbs. From 1970 to the mid 2000s, we crack them open and find the classic car ads and talk about what cars came out that year, which ones we like, and most of all, make fun of how ridiculous the ads of that year were. Ya, I was looking for a good political editorial on a porn site the other day, and couldn't find it. Guess they took it down. ;-) LOL

I really enjoyed the playboy episodes. I am old enough to remember that time period well . The worldview then was so different that is is unbelievable . It is good to have a look back sometimes.
