Good evening everyone! 

I know there is a fair amount of panic and worry as we finally reach a point where we realise that this virus is now no longer something happening far away and actually will most probably have an affect on us, some of us are concerned about our job security, some of us are concerned about our way of life being put on hold, our investments tanking but most of all I think we all realise that this virus may infect either ourselves or someone close to us, it's starting  to get real.

I want to offer a bit of advice, I have survived some very close brushes with death in my life and even situations where I was certain my life as I knew it would be over, this is not one of those situations, we're all going to be okay if we stay smart.

California has just issued a mandate pretty much telling everyone in the state to stay home unless you need to go out for vital supplies or visit a hospital, lots of talk of bailouts and new infection numbers that would cause even the most stoic of people to become nervous.

By now we know the rules, keep your distance from people in public, don't shake hands, hug or make physical contact with random people, very importantly always wash your hands if you've been out or touched anything foreign (if you get an amazon package for instance), try to force yourself not to touch your face unless of course you know you're clean and try to stay confined to your home, if you go out in the car, take gloves, hand sanitiser and alcohol wipes or something of that nature, if you're filling up the car with gas, use gloves or a tissue or something to pick up the pump handle and to dial in your pin code, be conscious when you touch a public surface such as a door handle of a shop etc and realise that you must wash your hand or use hand sanitiser as soon as you possibly can afterwards.

Your extra precautions may come off as being a bit paranoid but remember this isn't a joke, you may be strong enough to fight off the virus but the last thing you want to do is to bring it home to your family.

We will overcome this virus, it is going to in some way affect us all (if it hasn't already) but we will make it through to the other side.
