If so, you're in for a good one over on ADVChina! Here's the early release:

As for the picture of the Judo class of 1988? Well my folks dragged along a few childhood photos on their visit and I was pretty chuffed to see it, I remember fondly just how cool it was to be into martial arts back in the 80s when the Karate Kid was still all the rage! :)

My folks will be heading back home shortly and I've been filming those African adventures with my dad (can't wait to share them with you!)

See you all in the next video and have a lovely weekend!

American or visiting America? Some US neighborhood crime data is easily searchable and mapped at (app available) crimemapping.com (not a solicitation). I used it before I bought my house in Michigan to find a crime free street, and now I routinely leave my doors unlocked! Read an interesting article in Washington Post titled “Americans vastly overestimate the number of gun owners” Turns out gun ownership is only at the upper estimate 20-30%(vs 40-50% perceived ownership by Americans polled) and research indicates either fewer percent or it will hold steady in the future. If you consider people who have to own a gun for work(security guards, police, etc) and that America still has a large rural population that needs guns(my uncle only owned a .22 rifle to shoot the foxes that ate his ducks), or the huge number of Suburban Americans that love to hunt with a shotgun in their garage, the real number of handgun or assault gun owners is pretty small, and usually they are collectors. Drilling further down you’ll find that the neighborhoods like Detroit, East St Louis, South Chicago etc have over 20X the violent crime rate(and even higher ratio of gun murders) than other US neighborhoods. Ironically of wealthy countries that’s about the difference between others and the USA, so actually an American who doesn’t live in one of those US ghettos is about as safe as any well developed country’s citizen regarding violent crime. Further new FBI analysis techniques of ammunition recovered from shootings are now able to link shootings and discovered just a few shooters were causing most of the shootings, so of these trouble neighborhoods they’ve identified termed “super criminals” who create a far majority of the trouble. This is a change in perspective from what the police formerly had - that the shooters were more evenly evenly distributed amongst the ghetto’s population.
