It's Friday, there's a lot going on (Patreon)

Finally I’ve decided to get my ducks in a row, although I have been releasing at least one video a week on my Channel, it has always sort of been haphazard, sometimes on a Wednesday, sometimes on a Thursday, sometimes at night, sometimes early morning… let’s just say that I don’t do very well with schedules, I do however always make sure that the ADVChina episode gets released on Monday each week, but that too has been subject to wild time fluctuations and to be honest I haven’t been happy with the way my releases have been panning out.

Enter ADV Media!

It’s no secret that C-milk (Laowhy86) and I have been working together for years doing documentaries, having adventures together and of course jointly running the ADVChina channel.

We’ve decided to take it up a notch and actually start a media company called “ADV Media”, although it’s in the early conceptual phases, we’re working together to keep each other in check, help each other out with ideas and support when it comes to each others’ channels, we’ve worked out a schedule for all three channels and it is as follows:

ADVChina gets a video release on Monday 1pm EST (USA Eastern Standard Time) 10am PST (USA Pacific Standard Time)

and My channel SerpentZA will get a video release every Friday 1pm EST (USA Eastern Standard Time) 10am PST (USA Pacific Standard Time)

That way I can guarantee that you’ll always be able to count on 3 videos a week from the two of us. 

There is one other thing I’ve had a long hard think about and that is you, the guys and gals that support both Sasha and myself here on Patreon. For the longest time I’ve had an internal debate with myself, should people who donate more get more? Should a 1 dollar patreon have access to everthing that a 10 dollar patreon does? From the beginning I’ve never wanted to exclude anyone as I know that even pledging a dollar is a big thing, seriously I know how much it takes and so I’ve decided that I will never block or take away anything from anyone of you no matter how much or how little you so generously donate each month… Seriously every single dollar counts and makes what I do possible and allows me to provide a proper and stable life for my family, you guys are absolutely amazing. I have however decided that it would only be fair to give the 10 dollar and up patreons a little extra thank you and so although I won’t be taking anything away, I will be adding one small extra personal video a week for the $10 and up guys, a realtime behind the scenes look at what’s happening with everything in my life with Sasha and the growing of this business, everything else will remain the same. 

I can’t wait to see you all in the next video, you’re bloody awesome and incredibly important, thank you for accompanying me on this strange and adventure filled journey!

Unfortunately, I am a Senior on a tiny budget, so to me on S.S., my $1 to each of you is actually a lot to me. I've seen other channels that have a tier system of what they can get, but don't contribute because what is the point? It just keeps me in the "poor people don't get much" category. If there's another lifetime, I hope I come back with money. It's really hard to live on so little, and I am very good at budgeting (on my budget, you have to be), however, it does hurt when you see those who have more money on a different tier. I guess it's the American way: penalize those who are not rich. This has been something I have been grateful to support, but it's going to be hard; I just can't give more. I already live in Seniors' housing & receive a "food bag" to help with groceries from a local service. So, there really are people like me who don't have much but do sparse out what they can to help others. If I were rich or even "normal" in income, I would contribute more. That is one reason I have contributed because I got quality content, information, the truth, great videos and music, although I know my contribution can easily be made up by someone with more. I am very good at budgeting, but realistically, there is only so much to budget. I guess I'm just surprised by this announcement. Oh well.

Absolutely why I said I will not be taking anything away, I absolutely understand how generous and difficult it is to pay even a dollar and I appreciate it so much! I'm just adding a little extra bonus for those people who are overly generous but I promise that there will never be a situation that excludes the $1 supporters, you're all equally amazing

My guess is that there's two rationales for going under $10, which is the person really cannot afford it (such as a retired person) or that they are spreading their budget across many creators. For me, my rationale for the support is that we're both promoting China, so I want to get the "DVD commentary" so to speak, but also that warning about the scams without attacking China overall is a damn good thing.
