So in March of 2016 I took Sasha to Japan for our honeymoon, it was my first time in Japan too and the two of us had an amazing time, I'd saved up for about a year to make it happen as travel to Japan is a costly affair (especially if you want to experience the food properly).

While we were there, Sasha had wanted to rent a Kimono to wear and have some photos taken  (a lot of foreign tourists want to do this, Chinese especially), but I discovered that buying a second hand kimono was actually cheaper than renting a kimono for the day...

To buy one made sense to me, a rental gets worn over and over but a used kimono was probably only worn for one or two occasions and Japanese people from my experience really do take care of their belongings, so buying a second hand kimono was almost the same as buying a new one, Sasha actually has a video about wearing the kimono on her channel:

But that's besides the point, after returning to China she hasn't worn it once (there are two reasons for that), the first reason is that there is still a viciously strong anti-Japanese sentiment here in China that's constantly stoked through purposeful propaganda and TV shows teaching the population to hate, it's worse than you may think and I even once had little children throw stones at me shouting "Japanese devil" as I cycled through a small city as I was wearing a scarf under my hat and I suppose it kind of looks like the military hats that Japanese wear on their hate mongering TV shows...

The second reason why she hasn't worn it since is because she's embarrassed that she owns a traditional Japanese outfit, but not a traditional Chinese outfit, so I decided to remedy the situation, my tailor down in Luo Hu (the guy who makes all my suits) can also make Qipao, what we westerners consider traditional Chinese dresses, thing is they're not actually, they were invented in Shanghai in the 30s and are a mix of Manchurian clothing and foreign influence and fashion styling.... either way I wanted to get her some so that she could finally have some "traditional" Chinese clothing too.

We got three made and you'll see her wearing them in some upcoming SerpentZA and Hu Knows videos! She seems really happy with them and so am I, I think she looks gorgeous in them. Thank you all for supporting Sasha and myself here on Patreon, we appreciate it so much!

I would like to know more about your wife’s profession. Is her channel in English? Yes she beautiful but on the inside is more of what’s important. From watching these videos I wonder if Sasha and Vivi are somehow “different” from their Chinese counterparts, in that they married “white guy foreigners”. Do you have any videos that discuss this between on amy
