Driving around in Canton/Guangzhou (Patreon)

Here's another update on the documentary and I can't tell you just how awesome it is to have our own car to cart around all of our gear! There are four of us in the team and even with the four of us we're all overloaded with gear wherever we go! 3 tripods, a boom pole, standing lights, a massive drone, three camera bags loaded with stuff, four backpacks and of course luggage with clothes etc in them (2 big bags).... I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but suffice it to say that it's a massive pain loading that stuff in and out of taxis as our gear always fills up the boot (trunk) and we still have to carry stuff on our laps etc... Finally we have a small reprieve but when we get to Shanghai there will be no such luck as there's a massive amount of extra money you need to pay to get a car with a Shanghai license plate (certain areas of the city forbid cars with outside plates), so we're going to go back to the taxi dance :(
