Streams

For the past ~5 months, I've been trying to stream consistently to my schedule (weekdays at 4 PM Pacific).  The main goal is to reach Twitch Partner (tl;dr people in the program get extra features + is an achievement), and I figured I could share my progress here as well!

The most difficult metric here is the average viewership, and I'm roughly 25 away from the bare minimum! 🎉

I've talked about it before, but if you're curious about why I'm trying so hard with trying to get Partner & streaming in general, there's a couple reasons:

• Proving to myself that I can actually get Partner.  Before, when people asked me if I would try to do Partner, I kinda shrugged my shoulders and said if it happened, then it happened, but I wouldn't actively try.  Looking back, I was just afraid of failure if I DID actually try and just ended up flat on my face.  But around the end of 2021, I realized that I enjoyed streaming a lot and I should at least try and see what happens, instead of thinking "Yeaaah, I bet if I tried I WOULD get it, but I never did... but I would!"
• Forcing myself to do more personal art.  I've been struggling with this a lot in the past, but often times I get stuck in the weeds and think "agh I gotta work on commissions, I don't have time to work on personal art!"  Streaming has been helping me a lot with that, since I try to force myself to work on a new piece every art stream.
• Socializing!  Streaming has been a really nice way for me to talk more with people.  I'm pretty anti-social outside of streaming and the random moments where I'm just gung-ho about talking to people for long periods of time.
• Being able to share art with more people!  I love, love love love love drawing a lot, and it gives me the nice warm fuzzies when I'm able to share the joy that I have with art and being able to hear about people who are starting to dabble in art and people who have been drawing and are working hard to get better.

There's a lot of smaller reasons that I can't really type out because it'd just get too wordy and also I might forget some other stuff.  But that's the gist of it!

University VN Project

OVERALL, it's been going super well!  I recently hired Advarcher to draw the backgrounds, so they're 99% done save for one extra background that I need to do.  Io and Comelia (the writers!) have been doing a great job, and I think on the top of my head, it's about ~75% done for planned demo writing?  I'm not sure if I mentioned this before too, but I also got an editor, Rawon, on the project too to help with providing script feedback. :D

Biggest thing for me is that I need to get on top of doing the sprites, but I've been swamped with commissions and the artwork I need to do here.  At the very least, I can draw pretty fast so that's like... my saving grace in this project, haha.

Pretty much almost all of the other work that needs to be done is on me, so I'll ganba!!

Once I get some more art finalized, I'd really like to share screenshots of like... UI + art + snippets from the writing!  Would be really cool to see something more finished, and probably would be a good way to get an idea of the project from the outside. :D

⇢ SFW/NSFW poll suggestions

1st change: I'll be limiting the amount of options on the poll from 6 to 4, mainly because it takes me some time to set up the polls (specifically the images).

2nd change: This is for the poll attached to this post (seen at the bottom)!  I've always done it as "first 6 suggestions will be put into the poll (excluding ones that break TOS etc)", but now I'm wondering if a different method would be better?  The options are:

• First 4 suggestions go into the poll (current method)
• Randomize which 4 suggestions go into the poll
  I'll use a number generator to choose the 4 options
• chocojax chooses which 4 suggestions go into the poll
  I'll pick and choose 4 options for the poll
• Two part poll: poll with all suggestions (no images), then final poll with the top 4 winners (with images)
  I'll post a poll with all of the suggestions (will be up for about 3 days), and then I'll make a final poll with the top 4 choices from the previous poll

⇢ PSD files for the ★★★ tier

I've been trying to think about a few more rewards I could try to add in, and I think adding in PSD files would be nice to share.  Please keep in mind that I won't provide all of the PSD files for every drawing, either because it's a 1-layer drawing that doesn't really have much if any extra layers, or it might just slip my mind.  Though, if there's one that you're interested in and it isn't available, don't hesitate to ask. :)
