The Beginning (Patreon)

I'm finally starting on my path for art, which I've never thought of doing until a couple of months ago.

I've been drawing ever since I was young and always dreamed of drawing as a job in the future, whether as a comic artist or as an animator.  When I was a senior in high school, my parents told me that I shouldn't go into a hard field like art, and to go into a field with higher prospects, like computer science.  They also suggested to keep art as a hobby, and to pursue art more seriously when I was older with money.  And so, I no longer thought about having an art career, graduated college and worked towards a programming career.

I did some art here and there, but only thought about it as a hobby.  But, lately I've been hearing a lot of people talking about "following your dreams" and eventually I thought, "Hey, why the heck not!"

So... here I am!  I'm so excited to embark on a (hopefully) long adventure, where I continue to grow and nurture my art skills.  This is a little silly, but I've always pondered about having my own serious art book, which is something I could actually achieve now!

Anyhow, that's it for my little storytelling sequence.  I'll try to write these every few weeks, perhaps at least once a month.  I hope that I'll read back on these and see how much I've grown since then.  This is also a little haughty of me, but I really hope that one day, I could inspire others to also chase after their dreams.
