Recently I've just accepted commissions, and I'd like to try making a more public approach on how I've been managing them once they're accepted.

As some of you may know, I accept comms, and don't accept payment until after I've done sketches. In the way I've previously done it, I would do one comm at a time until they are completely finished. Then after that comm is done, I work on the next one. Because of this process, however, people have to wait a ludicrous amount of time to see progress on a commission I'd only just started... so I want to make a new approach.

This time, I'll accept comms, sketch them one-by-one and sort of put them in a loop. I will do sketches for every comm that I've accepted, and then prioritize it from there depending on what the commissioner is asking for. I will send updates on colors, working through all of my comms consistently then finally the draft for shading (if the comm was paid to be shaded). it's hard to type the process out, but hopefully I can get this across easier in a follow-up post. The goal is essentially for people to possibly wait less for their turn on updates. This new process is what I'm experimenting with this time around, so hopefully commission updates will come faster!!
