Hey there! This is a new type of write-up I'm going to try doing every month, detailing my thoughts on any projects released, as well as what progress has been made on future projects. Since I've been going back-and-forth between writing scripts, doing university work, recording voiceovers, updating Discord and whatnot, I figured this would be a good way to consolidate my progress into one list each month, since it might not always look too apparent! So look forward to more of these reports at the end of each month.

Pro Pack Mini | Things of Interest

A Things of Interest video on the Pro Pack Mini, a knockoff of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, released early this month! I'm very glad with how the video turned out, seeing that I found it a perfect Things of Interest subject the moment I first saw it.

By the way, someone asked me in the comments if the Pro Pack Mini supported the storage functions that allowed you to save data like Miis onto the Wii Remote. And it does! I actually forgot about this feature so didn't talk about it in the video. Talk about obscure functionality.

It's safe to say that there will probably be more wacky unlicensed accessories to be showcased on TOI soon, but I also have some classic Nintendo accessories in my plan! If you have some neat ideas for a Things of Interest episode, feel free to throw them my way.

Personal Update

I'd make a 'living under a rock' joke, but your life has probably been affected by the coronavirus in some form or fashion already. I'm still doing fine myself! While my time spent outdoors has obviously significantly reduced, I actually still have to attend my university classes via online meetings and deal with assignments and all that (I actually had to put recording duties on hold for the past 2 days to finish up an animatic), so as much as I hope to literally just work on my own stuff all day, that's sadly not the case. But that doesn't mean I haven't been working on stuff at all!

Works In Progress

I'm actually actively working on two videos right now! Seeing as my current schedule seems to be a video per month, this might be a slight challenge. :p

After almost half a year of deliberations, the script for the Famicom 3D System video is finally done! This is probably the longest time I've spent reviewing something since the Game Boy Camera video, and part of that was because I acquired all 7 games that it supported and played (mostly) through them over the past few months. You can actually catch my stream archives of these games here and here -- they're available to all patrons right now!

The video is currently in the voiceover recording process. I'd tell you confidently to look forward to it in March (and I will definitely try my darnedest to release it then), but I'm also doing preliminary work on...

April Fools

...what I'm doing this year is still a secret! I've been thinking about how much effort I want to put in to this year's video, and with pretty much all my previous April Fools endeavours being mostly jokes, this time I kinda want the percentage of actual content to outweigh the jokey bits. You'll hear more about it next month!
