[Outdated] The History of NESticle (Patreon)
Content
UPDATE: This script idea has been picked up again and updated into a new video that's available publicly, so I'll be changing this post to link to that video going forward as it contains more information and is presented better! Go check it out above. The original description follows below.
Here's a little Patreon-exclusive bonus that deviates from my usual style of video! This was originally planned to be a video produced by the folks over at the Nintendo preservation group 'Forest of Illusion' about the rise of one of the first NES emulators. I was invited by them to narrate the script in April, but the group ceased activity in late June, and plans for the video have been scrapped.
I figured I'd still put together what I've recorded and quickly edit this as a video, so I hope you don't mind the simpler presentation visual-wise. The quotes that appear throughout the video were planned to be narrated by a bunch of other people, but unfortunately the video was scrapped before that could happen.
It's not a topic I'd regularly talk about on my channel, since it does revolve around more vulgar topics like edgy humor and such, but I do think it's a fascinating tale about the early rise of the emulation scene, so I hope you still enjoy it! Just...giving out a minor content warning.
The script for this video was written by the team at Forest of Illusion and doesn't fully represent my own views.
