Hey there cadets!

We hope you've been enjoying the new version. It was focused on adding more content to the game and advancing the main storyline. In this patch, you've experienced the hack by the unknown assailants, and now it's time to face the consequences of the hack.

 As you might expect, we're already at work on the next version. Over the past few versions, we've started to add subtle code changes to pave the way for more fun stuff. In this next update, you will be introduced to what we refer to exotic transformations and status.

Main Story

The main story plot will continue and among things introduce you to the consequences of the rebel hack. The hackers have introduced malware into some of the Academy's systems and reports of malfunctioning equipment are starting to flood in.

The clinic has also shut down its mod customisation pods after some customers received experimental or illegal mods instead of their selection and currently only provides on shelves injectors.

Exotic Transformations

Another component of this patch is the introduction of exotic transformations and the exotic character status.

This is something we've been working on a for a while as we weren't too sure how to implement it in a way that wouldn't massively increase the team's workload. What we've settled on is a system that is much simpler than the human form.

In human form, you currently can customize a wide array of properties on your character, be it the hair style, hair color, or even facial hair style. In addition, individual pieces of clothing can be swapped in and out to create unique styles.

We believe this system is good for the human form, but we also think such a complex system is unnecessary if we want to have complete freedom to go into crazy territories with transformations.

What we've settled on is a system that is a base appearance, such as the cowgirl above, and allows you to choose from different outfits. Instead of individual pieces, exotic appearances will work with single clothing items that work as complete outfits when worn. 

As an example, if you want to wear the academy uniform, instead of equipping each individual pieces in the wardrobe, you would only have to equip one item which represents the whole outfit.

The result is it takes us approximatively ten times less time to design an exotic appearance than a normal human appearance. It will also allow us to venture into deeper, non-human transformations as well, which otherwise wouldn't be possible due to the time commitment it would require.

Next week we will also reveal the second exotic transformation you will be able to experience!

Final Word

As you can see we're hard at work on adding some fun stuff to this patch. There is a lot more coming, so stay tuned for the next update!
