v0.3.0 final update: release and what's next (Patreon)

Hello cadets!

First, I'm happy to confirm version 0.3.0 will be released this friday. All 82 tasks are now completed and we are currently doing additional testing and finishing up the update of the walkthrough.

What to expect

This patch has been a big undertaking for the team as everything we've added is the foundation of our future updates. To give you an idea of our efforts, here are some statistics:

v0.2.6: 279 Passages, 137448 Words
v0.3.0: 452 Passages, 199767 Words

It means we have added in total 176 new passages (you can consider a passage as a page) and 62000 words, all with the same quality you expect from our work.

This has resulted in the implementation of 28 new locations, 20 character interations and a lot of filler scenes to give a deeper look at the Starwatch Universe.

We have also implemented our first two quests, one of which serves as an entry point for the main story and will start automatically as you enter freeroam, and another one hidden in the Archives that will tease what is coming next.

Sex scene wise, three have been added, one with Diane and two with Curie depending on the type of relationship you have with her (sub or dom).

Among other things, you will get access to your wardrobe and shops where you can purchase new wares, including at the patron exclusive Castelli store where you will be able to purchase the Schoolgirl or Schoolboy outfits.

As a reminder, you will be able to use these alternative Castelli uniforms for class and any activity that would require the regular uniform. As a treat, we've also added two exclusive scenes at the Café if you decide to visit it while wearing the Castelli uniform.

You will also find some zones in the city that are currently accessible but underdeveloped, such as the hotel, the fetish store and the nightclub. These places need special attention and content, which was not feasible for us in this patch without severely delaying it. They will receive some special love in the next updates.

What is next

The next versions will be focused on content rather than functionality, as most of them are now completed with version 0.3.0. We've also spent a lot of efforts on reorganizing the game to ensure we can deliver content at a faster pace.

Two functionalities that will be activated with 0.3.1 are the beauty salon, which will allow you to change your hair color and hairstyle, and the ability to purchase temporary mods from the clinic to use them on your character and other characters in specific situations.

As this is before all a game with a focus on transformation, it is where we're going to pour a lot of work into the upcoming versions.

Another topic we are also going to start working on is relationships and advancing them. Orientation week gave you the ability to boost some relationships early on if you chose to, however it does not mean it permanently closed the door to some relationships you may have decided to ignore for now.

Our intent for relationships is not be a mindless suite of sex scenes, but rather give them substance and evolve over time. As we try to give each character different personalities, what a relationship entails will not be the same, with also different goals.
