Fur Patch Tutorial (Patreon)

Used this technique for this recent commission and figured I should share it!

A lot of my TFs have patchy fur, and sometimes that fur needs its own details, so this is how I add details to patches without coloring all over a large space. Digital art is great for isolated drawing and coloring, so this is just another way I quickly and simply isolate areas to add details.

I draw with Procreate on an iPad and Apple Pencil, but this type of technique is possible with many different drawing apps, just the wording might be a bit different.

I use the Lineart-Reference-Clipping Mask technique for every single piece. Helps me keep the steps in order, helps keep things organized and streamline.
