Introducing Goatbux! (Patreon)

So, as I've mentioned in the past, I'm interested in trying a new way of handling Patreon rewards for those who get a sketch from me every month.  This has been a slightly messy way of doing things, and I'd like to try and find a way of streamlining the process a bit, making it a bit better for you all and I!

And I think I've figured things out.  I'm going to go with a points-based system for Patreon commissions (tentatively called Goatbux, but I may change that name later?  who knows).  In this system, folks pledging at the $10 tier or above will receive an appropriate amount of Goatbux each month, with each one being worth $5.  This means the people already pledging in those tiers don't have to worry about the value of their pledges changing!

The benefit of Goatbux for you patrons is that you don't have to feel like your pledges are wasted if you don't get something from me that month - it'll go into a bank where I'll keep track of it, and you can save up as many points as you want and spend them when you want!  

At the beginning of each month, I'll tally up the Goatbux everyone has earned and open up for a round of Patreon-only commissions.  I'll keep them open for a week or two and then close them until the next month rolls around, so if you want to spend your Goatbux, that'll be the time!  If you don't order something in that period, your earned Goatbux will be saved until next month, when you'll be able to spend everything you've earned.

Goatbux will be valid for a whole year, but 13-month old Goatbux will disappear.  Spend them while you can!  Also, if you end up unpledging from a Goatbux tier, your Goatbux will stick around for you to spend - you just won't be earning any more.

I've also added a small number of higher-tier spots for those who would like to earn a few more Goatbux per month.  These two tiers include bonus Goatbux as an incentive!  (To be honest, I'm not expecting anyone to snag the Big Kahuna tier, but a goat can dream)

I should also mention that this whole Goatbux thing is technically a trial!  If it ends up being a huge mess, I'll go back to the way things were before.  In that case, your Goatbux won't disappear, they'll still be around for you to spend.  You just won't be earning any more!  We'll give it a trial run of three months before deciding that for sure, though.
