This arc was a little slow to start with but got much better in the second episode! Cool that we got to see how Lightsabers start off and get built but now I'm just fascinated by robot Doctor Who!!

I really liked this Arc when it aired (probably because I was 12 haha) but yeah lately it's not really one I revisit often, Yes Tennant droid is a legend haha. I like that we're seeing the process of Jedi trials but feels a bit jarring to have it this late in the show, (a general critique of Clone Wars is placement of arcs sometimes) This definitely feels like it could've been done in a Tales Of The Jedi Season with younglings we knew as Adult Jedi. I can still enjoy this Arc overall regardless, the next Arc however.. oh boy.. 😬😬🤣🤣

I like the idea that all the Jedi younglings go through this on Ilum. It's cool to think that Anakin or Ahsoka did this. Ilum is one of the places you go to in the Jedi Fallen Order game when you need a new kyber crystal, you even have to turn that big machine to melt the ice like in the episode. Huyang is thousands of years old so he's basically seen it all Also Hayden is right about the next arc. It's really not great so I guess just be prepared!

Yeah I imagine this arc would definitely have appealed more to kids as they could basically put themselves in the Youngling's shows and imagine the start of a Jedi's journey, but I still think it would have had more relevance seeing a major character go through it instead. Love Tennant's droid, the personality and mannerisms are just so striking compared to all the other droids we know. Completely agree, the placement of this arc in the show is definitely wrong, feels like it should have been way at the start so we could have at least gotten to know these younglings for longer, but doing it in Tales of the Jedi sounds even better! The arc does get better as it gets more Ahsoka focused so the last 2 episodes are an improvement, seen the first two episodes of the next arc and honestly I found it quite funny 😂 it's certainly a step down from previous ones but I like that it's quite light since as we get closer to Episode 3, I imagine it's gonna get darker very quickly.

The cultural implications of this episode were very cool, seeing how all Jedi start and go through something so connected to the Force was awesome to see but still wish we got to see one of the main characters go through. The game sounds like so much fun! Can't wait to play it in the future if you can actually do all this!! Huyang is so fascinating to me 😂 like in the next episode he even mentions seeing Yoda make his lightsaber, who's already 900 years old so now all I'm wondering is who built this droid and that he probably has more historical information on the universe than the Jedi Archives! Seen the first two episodes of the next arc, didn't think it was too bad, found it quite funny at times but it was definitely a step down compared to others, hoping that the last two episodes of it will pick up and give that arc some more story weight.
