I like to think that Anakin looked at that Junkpile ship as a challenge since he has a passion for mechanics and it's his comfort zone and decided to take it, work on it and make it his own Also I imagine the Separatists poured a huge amount of resources and investments into just that Single massive Warship, it's actually over 5x the size of those Big Republic ships. And since it wasn't around for too long when the separatists hear how short it's time in the field was I imagine they won't risk investing in another

I really like that perspective on Anakin, with everything he's been through it's easy to forget how simple his start was and just looking back at the episode it's clear to see how comfortable he is in that environment. Wish we had a better shot of the scale of the ship as that's a perfect reason for why they were so desperate to get it back, and I guess the reason was hinted at when Dooku commented on the expense of the droids so if they're so expensive then I'd hate to imagine how much that Ship cost.
