Dragged a bit but was still a nice story. Ahsoka definitely has room to improve, but right now I'm way more interested in Ventress.

Using the force is tiring so they can't just use it endlessly but I agree they should use it more. And about the lightsabers. They are supposed to be noble defensive weapons. Yes they could make them more deadly but the Jedi are supposed to be protectors. There's a comic where Obi-wan explains this to Anakin.

Yes they're supposed to be used sparingly and for most of the history of the Republic that was the case. Most people kinda saw the Jedi as these enlightened spiritual protectors. But the war meant that they were forced to fight and be offensive. And obviously there's the out of universe reason that people just like to see lightsaber fights. There's a new show coming out next year that's set before Episode 1, it'll be interesting to see how the Jedi are portrayed in that.

Ah cool, hopefully that show will explore this more as I'd love to see the contrast from war times to more peaceful times.
